Title: CAC cards & X.509v3 authentication
Post by: icecream-guy on May 03, 2016, 02:17:14 PM
Anyone doing this ?  if so how are you making it work?

Idea here is to use my CAC card with a X.509v3 certificate to allow access to routers and switches,
put my CAC card into the card reader, click a few buttons and I'm in config mode on the router.....

I have not done it yet, but my understanding from reading a few months ago was you need to import the public cert from your CAC onto the router. No central authentication.
