finally back.
Indeed.
Now to get it to the next host intact... I plan to do a SQL database backup frequently to my home PC in anticipation of the move. I'll move my other websites first, get them settled, then move this one over. Could have a few hours of unavailability due to file transfer, board maintenance, and then DNS record replication, but I'll announce that in advance.
Glad it's back, I was getting a bit too productive at work!
I know... I wound up posting on peerlyst.com, a security forum. Fun stuff!
Twitches are finally stopping. It sucked being sick for the week (strep throat sucks), and not having the forums to read. When I found the LinkedIn post I was happy I didn't need to go find a new home.

UPDATE: I have selected DreamHost as the new host. Criteria used:
1. Rated #1 for uptime by PCMag. Lots of other raves, but uptime is important.
2. Linux servers so I can do SEO for the forums.
3. Rated #1 for uptime.
4. I heard that they like mudkips.
5. ???
6. PROFIT!
If I do a 3-year deal, it costs as much as I was paying my previous host, so no undue financial burden on my part.
:bole:
It's all good, and the "Additional Smileys" page now loads a ton faster.
