Title: been seeing weird stuff here lately since HTTPS was implemented
Post by: icecream-guy on August 04, 2016, 08:10:59 AM
as I read through the various groups, sometime when I click on the forum navigation links, even though I've read all the messages in a forum, I still see the forum highlighted like there are unread messages in the forum, click back in and there are none. go to the default page, and its gone ( the unread highlighted icon). like I've read all the messages in the forum, like I thought i did.  weird. anyone else observed anything like this. running firefox 48.0.    this doesn't happen all this time, just at random,  trying to put a finger on it, but no luck so far.

just happened again for me on this post, posted, should have been marked read, when to the default page, unread messages in the forum lobby. go into the forum lobby, see  new posted message and, read it, then everything looks like it was marked correctly.

I had that happen to me when I logged in with my other account on IE. Have not seen it in Chrome.

But if anyone else sees this condition, please post here with browser type/version and it will help hunt things down.

firefox v48 for me

I was also thinking, may also be related to the site move to the new host. not necessarily the SSL implementation,
since you made more that 1 configuration change per maintenance window.  it'll be tough to troubleshoot.

OK, I got it to happen on Chrome by clicking on "New Unread Posts" and then "All Unread Posts".

But if I go to "All Unread Posts" first, it does not happen.

EDIT: and then, when I edit the post and go to "New Unread Posts" first, it happens.

behavior pattern, multiple browser platforms, WE HAVE A BUG!

EDIT EDIT: I checked again after that last edit and it didn't happen.

:problem?:
