Title: the greatest book ever written
Post by: wintermute000 on November 12, 2016, 06:32:37 AM
possibly the best SP book I've ever encountered.

MPLS in the SDN Era: Interoperable Scenarios to Make Networks Scale to New Services

https://www.amazon.com/MPLS-SDN-Era-Interoperable-Scenarios/dp/149190545X (https://www.amazon.com/MPLS-SDN-Era-Interoperable-Scenarios/dp/149190545X)

recommend +111111111111 though do also recommend some prior knowledge

ignore the kinda gross object on the cover, no idea what they were thinking LOL

That's what an MPLS network looks like, actually. Looks like a full mesh.

And it's such a hot seller, the paperback version on Amazon is currently out of stock!

QuoteWe have made every effort to remain neutral, despite both being Juniper Networks employees when we were writing this. If you spot any kind of favoritism, we can assure you that it was not intentional.

Thanks a lot for this.

Seems like a good book from the sample i saw so i will be getting myself a copy. Should be helpful for me at this stage and should hopefully allow me to learn and apply some new knowledge in my ISP capacity.

Ah sorry - didn't mean to insinuate too much - but good that they preemptively call that out.

EDIT - That, and I do see them as kind of a leader in that space (MPLS, WAN, etc. - dunno about SDN....) - at least traditionally.
