Thanks for your e-comment! Someone will be here to e-assist you in an e-moment!

I also remember when floppy disks were the #1 virus spread vector.

That's what the thread is for... reminiscences of bygone technologies... like cassette tapes, remember those? Vinyl made a comeback, but tapes? No way, dude.

In the hardcore music scene there has been a surge in tapes being sold in limited edition.

I get how there's an audiophile argument to use vinyl, but tapes? Those were eventually dinner for the cassette player! I get nostalgic about vinyl and my old record player, but I'm so glad to be done with tapes!

The majority of my dead show accumulation is still in the basement residing on cassette, few hundred shows. I took most of the best and converted to digital media but still listen to the oddball tape now and then.

Nothing like lugging your Sony D6 and NAK-300's into a Dead concert with a taper ticket in hand, and a big smile on your face. 'cause you know you have some sweet tunes for that long drive to the next gig.

When the tour was over, you be trading with your buddies sending cassettes through the mail for those nights when you didn't have a taper ticket.

:)

Tape trading... I used to do that a lot with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath concerts.
