Title: The Internet of Hacked Things
Post by: deanwebb on March 02, 2015, 09:47:10 PM
Just read a story about a Chinese company that made Internet-capable baby monitors... and how some Armenian hackers found a vulnerability in their code and were able to shout obscenities at little kids all around the world.

:naughty:

I really do NOT want to have everything in my life interconnected. Enough is enough. Computer and phone all wired up? Fine. Car? No. I do not want to deal with my car getting hacked. Thermostat? No. I do not want to deal with my HVAC getting hacked.

And then I saw some Cisco marketing about how 25% of professionals from 18 to 50 would want to have a brain implant that would allow them to have their thoughts published to the Internet.

:zomgwtfbbq:

Not me, man. Not me. No way to I want to deal with a zero-day on my brain.

Prepare to be assimilated into the collective...

It's all about control,  those that have control have power, those that have power rule the world.  What better way to control a society to be complaisant when all one has to do is push a button and your brain is reprogrammed.

Good luck with that.

I understand the feeling, but you're swimming against the tide.

Yeah. Wait until the NSA intercepts those in customs and perform unauthorized upgrades to those. Lol
