Title: Orbitz data breach
Post by: icecream-guy on March 22, 2018, 03:34:26 PM
just got email on this,  alert went out 2 days ago, didn't see it here.

If you've booked trips through Orbitz, hackers may have accessed your credit card or other payment card information in a recent attack. Reports from March 20 state that up to 880,000 payment card numbers and related information could've been exposed in a data breach. The additional information could include: full name, date of birth, phone number, email address, physical or billing address, gender.

Be informed – use google to get more information about this breach as well as tips to protect yourself.

And another site has a breach... so long as patching has to happen within change windows scheduled weeks in advance, these breaches are going to continue. When agile hits security patching, then we can better defend against this stuff.

Of course, it also means disrupting production, but sometimes, that's the price you pay to not have a massive breach...
