I absolutely love this skit. I have watched it many times. This was basically me every day for 10 years lol.
I just realized the engineer should have nodded, said, "let's do a dry run with a proof of concept here..."
And then drawn 7 red lines with 4 going horizontal and 3 vertical.
When the customer draws the blue triangle, massage the requirements... "It looks like you're satisfied with intersection, not necessarily perpendicularity. If there's no regulatory requirement for perpendicularity, there's no reason to break ourselves on trying to attain it."
Then go up to the board, draw a red triangle around the blue triangle and then another red line on the side. "This gives us both HA and DR. I'm sure those would be requirements."
Then, pack that bag for the balloon trip. :smug:
