Can you clarify? Are you looking how to identify the WLC an AP has joined too, or just how primary/secondary/tertiary WLC are configured?

Hi Simon, yes how to identify the wlc an ap has joined.

Depends on which discovery method you are using.

If it's using DHCP or DNS discovery, it will first send a join request to that WLC. It should then be redirected to the WLC with the least amount of joined APs from the Mobility Group.

For pure L2 discovery, so AP and WLC in the same VLAN, it will just join the local WLC.
