How can I get hired with a felony record?

In the April 9, 2019 Ask The Headhunter Newsletter a felony stands between a reader and a job. Question Nearly every position I have found that I am qualified for in logistics is off limits to anyone with a felony within the past seven years. I’m past the five-year mark. I tried starting my own business but it doesn’t pay the rent yet. It's desperation time. I have no problem washing dishes or doing any kind of "menial" labor. Work is work and pay is pay. This is a good one - mentions preemptive references and making big commitments up front. Worth reading, even if it's only certain people you know that have felony convictions.

depends on what the felony was and what the job opportunity is,

I don't think Chester has any right to obtain a job as a day care intern.
or a corporate embezzler as a company accountant...

True, jobs involving children are a no-go for any felon convicted of a crime that involves "moral turpitude."

But, not a lot of IT jobs involve kids. Lots of datacenter work or colocation center work can be done.
