How do you tell the differences between gear that must be regularly rebooted and that which can NEVER be rebooted, ever?

You reboot it. If it fails then it shouldn't have been rebooted. If your management does not like that option then you don't reboot it. If it fails it should have been rebooted. :smug:

if'n yer not patching and rebooting, yer not thinking security. adding to that, if'n yer not replacing DC gear at least every 3 years, yer not keeping up with technology.
just thinking, if it can't be rebooted, move it to the cloud so it will live forever.
