"TrackingPoint rifles are state-of-the-art precision hunting and sniper rifles that come equipped with a networked tracking scope that's accessible via Wi-Fi, and comes complete with USB ports and a mobile app. It's almost foolproof shooting, albeit at a $13,000 price tag.
And the security of all of it can be undone because of a guessable, default password."

When John Chambers said "the Internet of Everything" last year, he was not messing around. Military bases have the Internet of Bombers. Just take out the word "things" or "everything" and substitute an unlikely noun, like "insect repellent" or "tampons" or "bricks", and that's something that someone, somewhere is trying to make web-enabled.
And its security will be compromised with a guessable, default password.

Forget rifles. The internet of missiles - http://europe.newsweek.com/german-missiles-hacked-by-foreign-source-329980
or we can go less scary, and dip into the "They installed bluetooth on what?" file - http://dewaltmediakit.com/accessories/dewalt-batteries-now-with-bluetooth/

Imagine when one of *those* bad boys gets hacked... not only will the criminal then own your FB account, but he'll be able to torture you via The Cloud.
:kramer:
Add to this scenario how companies are looking into wearable technology to monitor productivity amongst their employees, and you can come up with a pretty oppressive work environment.
