Title: Freelancers/Contractors
Post by: ChestHair on January 06, 2015, 07:36:20 PM
This might just barely be appropriate to fit in this section regarding careers... But if you are a self employed consultant/contractor/Jack-of-all-IT, do you have a favorite accounting software package you use to run your business? There's a lot of new stuff out there with smartphone integration etc and I was curious if anyone had found something that fit well.

Thanks

I think stuff like this is appropriate in a career section.

That being said, I'm not a freelance guy, so I'll leave that to others... but I do enjoy the Concur travel app, as it makes my expense reports much, much easier to fill out.

Thanks Dean. I initially asked because one of my clients asked me what I used, and then he told me that he has converted his business (dentistry) over to a free online package that was heavily tied into his iPhone. It was the first I had heard of it, but he raved about it.

I just have an invoicing program. The actual accounting is done by my accountant. VAT and fiscal laws are too complex to do it myself.
