PROTIP: When you have a sensitive contract for the US Department of Defense, don't hire workers without a security clearance.
EVEN BETTER PROTIP: While you're at it, also don't hire anyone from outside the USA, just to be sure.
BEST PROTIP OF ALL: And never hire anyone from Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Libya, North Korea, I mean, do I have to spell it out here? :wall:
I didn't read the article, but holy @#$#, really!? :wtf:
So now I read it... :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:
I mean, a small part of me isn't even that shocked considering what a "charlie foxtrot" more than 75% of these projects are, but good lord! Seriously!?!
I thought it was bad enough that the Affordable Care Act website people had contracted with Russian and Ukrainian programmers to handle all the sensitive SSN and HIPAA information... one wonders how widespread this kind of mess runs in the USG...
I won't name who it was, but I know a certain group that has site-wide outtages due to simple STP issues because they transport VLANs through their core network, and won't change it because it's too much work. Friggen ridiculous.
I heard one of the workers they hired was Nitup Rimidalv. Nice guy.
