Title: Brocade exams for BCNE and BCNP retiring
Post by: icecream-guy on February 26, 2016, 08:29:45 AM
Exams retire sometime in March when new exams become available.

Brocade is retiring the BCNE (CNE-200) and BCNP (CNP 300) exams in favor of 2 more updated exams, NIP (Network Industry Protocols NIP-200) and BPIPA (Brocade Professional IP Administrator BPIPA-200)

Don't worry BCNE and BCNP certs never expire...

In networking, any vendor cert not from Cisco or Juniper has almost no bearing on your employability (maybe checkpoint for a security guy....).
So do it for your self education (so if they expire, pfffft...), or not at all.

Perhaps that is true in the private sector. Many DoD networks are migrating to Brocade so they (Brocade certs) are gaining traction in that arena.

I like the Brocade platforms I have had a chance to play with. ICX 6610 and 7750, and the MLX-e series chassis.
