Use red or yellow cable for 1-way communications.
grey or black for 2-way communications.

Sorry, didnt get what you mean....

In this case, is the servers patch-panel.

Im moving the servers switch from network rack to servers rack. I'll put a 48port switch on it but not all ports will be used and I really hate to work in production patch panels to add new cables.

Also there is the question of cable colours. By interface, by vlan, by service.... I hate cabling soooooo much :wall: :wall:

Good morning everyone!

This morning I woke up thinking about how effective are patch panels and when to put one or connect directly.

What do you think about it?

The thing is that the errors/discards are not constant and the dont come in the heavy traffic timeline.

But there are different cases!

Customer with private AS - It will never be visible on the BGP routes. This is common sense!

Customer with public AS(1) - It is visible but may be have BGP restrictions (like not allowed to send communities)

Customer with public AS(2) - It is visible and dont have any kind of restrictions on BGP

Customer without AS - Wth are you doing here dude? Move on!

Of what kind of problem are you asking for? :D

Sorry, I dont understand what you mean. But is for my english.

Can you explain it in dummy english?

Its a Cisco C3750. But as far I can see, the errors showed in graph are not in the "show interface" command.....

If you could post the errors, we could take a look at them. Just modify machine names and IP addresses if those would reveal anything that shouldn't be revealed, and we'll look at them.
And that is exactly my question. Where can i look further than a "show interface"?

Graphed by cacti from default interface errors/discards template.

Hi NFS Pro Dudes,

Im saying for a time big peaks of errors on some ports of my switches.

How can I debug from where the errors come from and what is causing them?

In this case, the primary IP Address of each router interface is the private one (10.10.0.1 and 10.11.0.1 for R1 and R2)

As example,

DHCPREQUEST for xxx.xxx.91.164 from 00:1d:d1:a4:f9:f4 via 10.10.0.1

Also, as you said, each router have several public secondary networks.

Anyways, I'll try to do in lab what you are saying (that is a really basic configuration of ISC DHCP), but im sure I tried that and didnt work as you are saying.

Or im totally not understand you or you are totally not understanding me.

Where is the GI Address in the subnet declaration?

Relay address in R1 is 172.16.0.2 and in R2 is 172.16.0.3

And how you spificy gi address to match one shared network or other?
